SEO Skill

SEO reporting tool for AI agents

Ask your agent for an SEO report and it pulls the numbers from Search Console and Google Analytics first, then writes the summary you would otherwise put together by hand.

Run it in a terminal, then sign in with Google.

Or run it on your machine

Installs the CLI, signs you in and adds the skill to your agents. Site crawls and Bing data run this way, on your own machine. A crawl fetches many pages, and Bing blocks our hosted server.

What goes into the SEO report

PartWhat it shows
Search totalsClicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position against the previous period, by device, with the top pages and queries and how they changed.
Google AnalyticsOrganic Search sessions from Google and from every search engine, sessions from all channels, and visits from AI assistants, for the same dates.
OpportunitiesQuick wins, titles with a low click-through rate, queries just off page one and pages on page two.
ProblemsContent that lost clicks, queries where your own pages compete, and sudden traffic drops with the Google updates near them.
Before and afterEqual periods either side of a release or an update, for the whole site or a set of pages.

The report returns text and structured data. Your agent turns it into the document you want, whether that is a short update for your team or a monthly report for a client.

Run a report for one site

Ask your agent:

Run the SEO report for example.com

In a terminal, with the CLI installed:

seo report --site example.com

It covers the last 28 days of final Search Console data unless you give other dates. Add --section content-decay (or any other section) to open one part, and --json when a script or agent reads the result.

Write a client SEO report

Link each Google account that can read a client's Search Console property on your account page. Every request uses the linked account that can read that site, so one agent can report on all of your clients. Then give it the month:

Write the September 2026 SEO report for example.com. Use seo report
for 2026-09-01 to 2026-09-30, then the content-decay and quick-wins
sections. Keep every number as reported and say where data is missing.

SEO Skill gives your agent the facts. The layout, the branding and the advice come from you and your agent, in whatever document you already send. Keep Search Console clicks and Google Analytics sessions under their own names, because they are different counts and a client will ask why they do not match.

Automated SEO reports each week

A scheduled agent task can run the report every Monday and send you a summary. Keep the same length of date window each time, so this week compares fairly with the last. The cloud agents guide shows how to give a scheduled agent your account.

Sites in the weekly site audit (a beta, $50 a month per site) also get a Monday email and webhook with each site's week: Google index checks, what the weekly crawl found and search clicks against the week before. Running seo report with no site returns the same summary across all of your audited sites.

Check the numbers before you send them

The click-through rate curve comes from your own site's data, so it is a useful yardstick and not a Google rule. When a traffic drop lines up with a Google update, the report shows that the dates overlap. It does not prove the update caused the drop, so the client report should not say so either.
