# seo data

Raw rows for questions the report does not answer. Search Console by default, or landing pages from your analytics.

Use it when you need a cut of the data the report does not show, such as clicks by country for one folder, or which landing pages got visits from search.

## Search Console rows

Ask your agent for the rows you want:

```text
Show Search Console clicks by country for pages containing /blog/ on example.com
```

You can group by up to four of `query`, `page`, `date`, `country`, `device` and `searchAppearance`, and filter by page or query text. Each row comes with the previous period and the change.

In a terminal:

```sh
seo data --site example.com --dimensions page,country --page /blog/
seo data --site example.com --dimensions query --query pricing
```

Add `--start-date` and `--end-date` for other dates, and `--detail rows` with `--offset` to page through long results.

## Analytics landing pages

In the hosted MCP, `seo_data` also reads Google Analytics landing pages for visits from search, with your Google sign-in. Google Analytics keeps its own metric names, such as sessions and users, so compare them with Search Console clicks with care. The [analytics guide](https://seoskill.dev/docs/analytics) covers Google Analytics and Clicky.

In the CLI, `seo data` reads Search Console rows.

For the usual questions, start with the [SEO report](https://seoskill.dev/docs/report). It already sorts the rows that matter most.
